About the Organization

Global Office is a non-governmental organisation aimed at fostering informational, social, cultural and political integration of Ukraine into the global community, as well as internal integration.

The Global Office’s projects teach the Ukrainian youth think critically, be tolerant, know civics fundamentals and overcome language and cultural barriers. At the same time, foreign participants of our projects discover the real Ukraine, free of stereotypes.

Volunteer Opportunity

The GoCamp programme is calling for volunteers from all over the world to come to Ukraine and teach kids English, French and German at school camps all over the country!

During the 2.5-weeks programme children, who might have never been to other countries or have never interacted with foreigners, with the help of volunteers get an amazing possibility to become real team players, critical thinkers and tolerant people who are ready to work in a multicultural environment.

All volunteers will have a preparing 3-day-training session before leaving to camps in schools where they will be taught different aspects of work with schoolchildren, children safety issues, new interactive methods of working with kids, will get information about Ukraine, its life and traditions as well as basic Ukrainian language. The volunteers do not have to be experts in GoCamp programme items. The main goal is to accompany teachers-coordinators and to become friends and mentors for children!

  • Training session for volunteers – 3 days in Kozyn, Kyiv region (near the capital)
  • Volunteering in a camp – 2 weeks in any city, town or village in Ukraine (location to be determined together with GoCamp manager). Accommodation – in a host family.

Dates & Times: May 30 – June 14, June 6 – June 21, Aug 8 – Aug 23 2019.

Volunteer Responsibilities

Volunteers are planned to participate as mentors for children in camps 5 hours per day/ 5 days a week. The program includes: work on socially important projects;interactive lessons on democracy, human rights and values, ecology, career, future profession, STEAM etc.

All volunteers will have a preparing 3-day-training session before leaving to camps in schools.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old; there is no upper age restriction. Volunteers of different ages, professions and backgrounds, as well as entire families are welcome. No need of special experience of working with kids – just motivation and good knowledge of English, French or German!
