Volunteer Duties + Expectations
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program is looking for 15 volunteers to represent the volunteer community globally and amplify volunteer voices during the Global Technical Meeting (GTM 2020) on "Re imagining Volunteering for the 2030 agenda." This event is virtual.
The selected volunteers will be given roles including, but not limited to, the following:
- Participate in the live panel discussion of the inaugural session: "A global invitation to re imagine volunteering for the 2030 agenda"
- Participate in live chats and panel discussions, as part of the GTM 2020 sessions
- Support the GTM 2020 as facilitators and manage virtual breaks
- Read out the call to action in the closing session of the meeting
Sign–up Instructions
- Submit a one-minute video of yourself in which you introduce yourself and volunteering efforts and explain what "re imagining volunteering for the 2030 agenda means to you."
- The video should be submitted to Facebook or Twitter, tagging @UNV and using the hashtags #volunteerSDGs and #VolunteerVIdeos. Make sure that the post is set to public so that others can see your video.
- Each applicant must submit one video. Volunteers who submit more than one video will be disqualified from the process.
- The video application is open to volunteers of all ages and from all over the world.

A Global Technical Meeting (GTM 2020) on "Reimagining Volunteering for the 2030 Agenda" will take place virtually in July 2020 to provide a platform to advance the discussions and debates on volunteering for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and jointly shape the future of volunteering.
