The Global Week to #Act4SDGs, 20-30 September, rally public support for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) connecting actions taking place in thousands of cities and communities across the globe while world-leaders gather in New York for five milestones UN Summits.
It is time to deliver on the promises made by UN member states in 2015 to achieve 17 SDGs and create a future of peace and prosperity on a thriving planet, with no-one left behind.
All actions count, no matter how big or small. From individual actions to live more sustainably to large public events. Some actions seek to:
- Inform -SDG lessons, photo narratives, campaigns for people or planet
- Activate -tree planting, beach clean up, donation drives, poster contest
- Define Solutions -SDG hackathons, expert dialogues
- Accelerate Government Action –demonstrations, petitions, photo stunts
Be creative. See examples below of how different sectors are joining the Global Week to Act4SGDs – from schools, civil society, local governments, universities, youth groups, private sector and individuals.
Once you have decided what you will do register to add your organization and your actions to the map of the Global Week to #Act4SDGs.
