SAVANNAH, GA – The Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance, Inc., a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, is a unique, multi-day “Lowcountry” motoring experience that entertains and educates the community while supporting youth programs. Started in the year 2000, the organization has grown to showcase more than 500 cars and other items at the Motoring Festival. While different types of engines are seen at the motoring festival, a type of engine that participants may not see is their philanthropic engine. While the Motoring festival is recognized as an important cultural event and a major economic driver in the community, the organization’s mission of philanthropy underpins the overall purpose of the organization.
Through Driving Young America program, the Motoring Festival’s contribution engine fulfills its commitment to non-profit organizations by providing grants to their youth programs. They also give scholarships to deserving students who have an interest in design, performance, restoration, and safety of automobiles. Together these amazing organizations directly impact the lives of tens of thousands of local people. Their gift to the Motoring Festival is hundreds of volunteers who help manage the festival.
Since 2000, the Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance Motoring Festival has made nearly $500,000 in grants and scholarships to fulfill dozens of important outreach missions.
This year, in 2018, the Motoring Festival awarded grants 13 non-profit organizations, one of which is IVolunteer International. The grant provides IVolunteer International monetary support to achieve the 2018-campaign to launch a geo-connecting volunteer mobile app by 2019. IVolunteer International representatives attended the Motoring Festival in Hilton Head on November 4, 2018, at the Port Royal Golf Club and received the grant.
